A Unique Chamber Music Ensemble
Windfluence is a Pittsburgh-based professional woodwind quintet dedicated to bringing expressive, engaging chamber music to audiences throughout western Pennsylvania. Since its formation in 2022, the ensemble has showcased the unique blend of colors created by the orchestra's principal wind instruments: flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and French horn.
Drawing on the warmth, brilliance, and versatility of the woodwind quintet, Windfluence performs beloved works from the standard repertoire while actively exploring music by living composers. The ensemble's programming also extends beyond the classical tradition to include Broadway favorites, popular music, film scores, and creative arrangements that appeal to a wide range of audiences.
The ensemble's members are accomplished musicians who hold positions with orchestras throughout the region and can be heard in venues across Allegheny, Butler, and Westmoreland counties, as well as on WQED-FM 89.3.
Through thoughtful programming and engaging performances, Windfluence seeks to connect audiences with both familiar masterworks and exciting new musical voices while celebrating the rich variety of music that can be expressed through the woodwind quintet.
The group is available for classical concert series, educational concerts, outreach concerts, weddings, and private events.
